Wildrose Equestrians [WLDRSE] is an Alberta-wide photojournalistic project featuring 9 Alberta equestrian sites/horsepeople. The end product will be a fine art style magazine that explores and documents Alberta’s equestrian heritage. A professional equestrian journalist will be interviewing the 9 equestrian features (who will either apply for their spot or will be nominated). There is no cost to the selected 9 equestrian sites. Once the publication is released in 2026 it will be available for public purchase.
Project Goals:
– End the ‘word-of-mouth nature’ of equestrian history and information in our Province.
– Unite equestrians from different disciplines and areas of our Province.
– Encourage and educate non-equestrian Albertans on ranching and agricultural professionals that are located right here in our Province.
– Foster a welcoming space for existing businesses to promote their product/services through sponsorship to Alberta equestrians.
This project spans from 2024-2026 and may be funded by private sponsorship, in-kind donations, grants, and personal donations.
